About me, hmm? Let’s see.. I was born in 1978 and I am a Scorpio. I live in Canada. I am married to my best friend and loving every moment of married life. I have many wonderful friends and family members in my life that I am very grateful to.

Interests

I enjoy writing, reading, movies, film making, photography, video games, role playing, travel, listening to music (cds or live), learning new things, anime & manga, tarot, reiki, lightwork, paranormal stuff, exploring psychic abilities, energy work, and other stuff I’m not remembering to list right now.

I love a lot of different kind of music, but currently gravitate towards rock & alternative most often. Oh, and celtic types of stuff. Depends on the mood! One of my all-time favorite groups is The Monkees (and I have happily collected a lot of great memorabilia and seen them perform as well as met them in person, except for Mike). I have also really enjoyed Backstreet Boys in the past (and also got to see them live and meet some of them), but as I said, I am more into alternative right now.

I mostly read fantasy novels and those that include things such as magic powers, psychic powers, vampires, ghosts, or other such things. My favorite book series are (in order of discovery/reading): The Earth Children series by Jean M Auel, the Shannara series by Terry Brooks, The Vampire Chronicals by Anne Rice, the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling and the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. That probably gives you a good idea of what I like to read, what I’d like to write and what I’m liable to include in my role playing.

Travel

I absolutely adore traveling, and feel sad when I don’t get to make a trip somewhere in any given year. I grew up with a family camping trip every summer, which always included a long drive to some other place to camp. I have been on two really long road trips: one across the top of the USA from BC, Canada to Detroit, MI; and one from BC down to Las Vegas and over to Albequerque, NM, and back. Both were very awesome trips.

I have also traveled to Ontario many times, Washington state, Oregon, California, Arizona, and Europe.

In Europe I’ve been to cities and villages in London, France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Belgium.

I’ve been to Disneyland three times, the latest being in October 2008 for my honeymoon, and can’t wait to go back!

Computers, Internet & RP

I have been using computers since I was around seven years old, so I think that qualifies me as some kind of a “computer geek”. I’ve been online since sometime in 1995. I was first active in an online role playing group as of 1996 (in a web-chat, back when that was done by manually reloading a forum page when you wanted to refresh). I’ve done some DnD and VTM offline, but I always seem to go back to online rp’ing instead.

Anime & Manga

I love anime and manga! My first anime was “Astro Boy” repeats when I was a kid, though back then I didn’t know it was anime. Later in life I discovered Sailormoon (unfortunately, the YTV translated version), and fell in love with anime all over again. Since then I have been introduced to many different shows and manga. My favorites include Sailormoon, Love Hina, Azumanga Daioh, Ouran High School Host Club, Negima (manga version) and many others that are escaping me at the moment.

Asian Ball Jointed Dolls (BJD)

I am absolutely in love with these little resin beauties and currently own five of varying sizes. My husband also owns two of his own. I have a blog specifically dedicated to these dolls, so go check that out for more info!

Second Life

Second Life is a virtual world that is changing how we interact online. At least, it’s changing it for those of us who use it. It’s an amazing place that is better to experience than try to explain, since you can’t lump it into any one category. It’s not a game. It’s not a website. It’s not an online store. It’s not a chatroom. And yet, it can be all of these things and more. It was first launched on June 23, 2003. I joined the world on May 22nd, 2004. My first avatar name was Cydonia Llewelyn and I still own that name to this day. My second (and now my main) avatar name is Kasei Jewell. You can find me in world under either of those names, depending on what I’m doing.
